Grilled Pizza Party :)

  • I thought I would take this time away from the kitchen to go ahead and get caught up on the meals that I have created but just not blogged yet. And get excited, because there are some good ones! I have already done one post for homemade grilled pizza, but this time, I really outdid myself! Actually, my husband and sister-in-law and I outdid OURselves-I can’t take all the credit! Jordan came to visit us back in March and one night we just made a TON of pizza. Four pizzas for three people to be exact! Don’t judge.

    Grilled Pizza

This is so much fun to do and so easy. I use store-bought pizza dough and a whole mess of toppings and just go to work. You would be surprised what you already have in your fridge that can be used for these pizzas. For example, we used bar-b-que sauce for one of the pizzas instead of regular pizza sauce. Store bought or homemade pesto? Sure, throw some of that on there. Opened spaghetti sauce, haven’t tried it, but I don’t know why it wouldn’t work. You get the idea. I honestly do not have exact measurements on any of these pizzas, but I will list out the ingredients used. Plus, it’s more fun to just pile on the ingredients anyway.

    Grilled Supreme Pizza
    Canola Oil
    Salt and pepper
    Pizza sauce
    Ground hamburger meat
    Grilled chicken sausage
    Sautéed mushrooms
    Sautéed green peppers
    Sautéed red onion
    Fennel seeds
    Mozzarella cheese
    Parmesan
    Grilled Veggie Pesto Pizza
    Canola oil
    Salt and pepper
    Pesto
    Arugula
    Buffalo mozzarella
    Sun dried tomatoes
    Sliced red onion
    Sautéed mushrooms
Grilled Red Pepper Chicken Pesto Pizza
    Canola oil
    Salt and pepper
    Pesto
    Pine nuts
    Grilled chicken
    Buffalo mozzarella
    Sautéed mushrooms
    Basil chiffonade
    Grilled Bar-B-Que Chicken Pizza
    Canola oil
    Salt and Pepper
    Bar-B-Que sauce
    Grilled chicken
    Mozzarella cheese
Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Roll out pizza dough and brush the top with canola oil, then season with salt and pepper. Place dough on the grill, oiled side down and grill until the bottom is charred and lightly golden brown. Brush the top with additional oil before flipping over. Flip and grill for additional 30 seconds.
Transfer the crust to a baking sheet and begin to add toppings (yes, the pan will go directly on the grill, so use an old baking sheet). Place pan on grill and close the lid. Cook for a few minutes, until the cheese is melty-ooey-gooey-good. Take pizza off grill and place on cutting board to slice. Have a competition to see who can eat the most! :)
    Our feast!
What’s your favorite kind of pizza? I bet if would be good grilled!
