After making four homemade grilled pizzas, saying I had a lot of topping leftovers would be a huge understatement. It was more like a ton! It was time to get creative. I had some delicious grill chicken sausages just looking at me in the fridge and I had to give them a purpose. Enter the pizza pasta bowl.
Supreme ‘Pizza’ Pasta Bowl
1 lb box whole wheat pasta
2-3 grilled sausage links
1/2-1 C ground hamburger, cooked
Sun dried tomatoes, chopped
Sautéed green peppers
Sautéed red onion
Cook pasta according to box directions. Drain and rinse. Top with meat and other toppings.
Mix is all up and enjoy.
You could add any goodies that you like to the top. You really can’t mess it up! I have to say, this was almost as good as the supreme pizza! Almost.
