Giveaway – For a Cause

  • life & love & littles
  • This is unlike any of the other giveaways I have done in the past. I am giving away a the Blogging for Fishes Cookbook to raise awareness for sweet little Natalie and Alice Fish.

“In 2011 Natalie and Alice Fish were diagnosed with a rare gene disfunction called Leaky SCID {Severe Combined Immune Deficiency}. Their condition is so rare that only two cases are reported in the U.S. each year. Both girls have endured much, and have spent most of their young lives in and out of the hospital due to common illnesses that a healthy immune system would overcome.
The required treatment for Natalie and Alice is a bone marrow transplant….a treatment that includes chemotherapy, months in the hospital and quarantine for almost a year. The physical, emotional and financial burden resting on the Fish family is a heavy weight to bear alone. The proceeds from this recipe book will bless the Fishes during this time of need. Thank you for your love and support!”
Ali at Lemon Poppy Inc. decided to take on this project of creating a cookbook to raise money for this sweet family. The cookbook is a collaboration of recipes from over 40 different food bloggers all over the web, including yours truly! Ali has featured my Cranberry Orange Bread with Oat Streusel Topping, including the recipe and photos. Thanks Ali!!!
If you would like to follow along on their journey, visit their blog here. ALSO, you can watch this youtube video to learn a little more about what these girls have had to go through. Please be praying for this sweet family! They need it!
If you would like to purchase a copy of this book, visit Ali’s website here. There are three versions that you can purchase: an e-book {PDF version}, an e-book {for the IPAD} and a physical copy of the cookbook.
***Now for the giveaway!!! One lucky person will win this awesome cookbook and there are several ways to enter!!! Just make sure that for every entry you do, you post a comment below! One entry will be the winner, then I will email you and get your address, and ship you your new cookbook!!! Thank y’all in advance for your support for this family!! Nice of you to get the word out on this. I am sure the Fishes would appreciate any form of assistance, for they undoubtedly are going through some costly as well as heart wrenching moments. Pretty cool that your recipe is a feature in there, Ali does know a thing or too about tasty treats. I am proud to have you as a blogger friend.
